To Establish IIUM Student Union Academy as a Centre for Leadership and Holistic Excellence Development

1. The establishment of our own Student Union shows that IIUM Students are on the leading track in nurturing students leadership environment and activism excellence. 

2. However, within our community, we can see that there are still boundaries for us to go further. The union is still lacking competent and well prepared representatives who are ready to lead and drive the Union.

3. IIUM has a lot of potential and excellence leaders, however some of them are not well versed and might not even understand the university’s philosophy and administrational structure. It somehow limits their participation in contributing to the higher level of bureaucracy and governance. 

4. Our university has a good program named Young Global Leaders (YGL) designed to develop the growth of student leaders.

5. However, I believe there are a lot of potential for the projects to be enhanced especially on the continuous monitoring system and  the leaders involved.

There are more than 3000 graduans of the project. But, where are they ?

In order to ensure sustainable and better leadership among students for the sake of our union. I aim To  Design a platform to train and develop student leaders, which will nurture more future student leaders who understand the Philosophy, Nature and Structural Administration of IIUM.

This might not be what all of you are wishing of. But this is what I think is important for the union. Not only for the next tenure. But, for the union in the future.
